how to marry a muslim

i never wanted to marry somebody from morocco and i couldn't imagine to do so! i wanted to go to russia!

at the age of 20 i wanted to go from my little village in south austria to the "big" city of vienna for my studies. i started with bosnian/serbian/croatian language and political science, but after the first year i became interested in the life of the muslims in bosnia and decided to know more about islam.

so i changed my studies to arabic and islamic sciences, had to learn arabic, persian and turkish - all in all i know now just the grammar and can't speak it :( i really need to improve it ...
3 years ago i thought it would be interesting to have a penfriend from the arabic world - only one person wrote to me ... my husband. he wrote in such perfect german, that i forgot that i wanted to improve my poor arabic and he lifed in germany ... so letters became longer and once we met ...

after this meeting was clear, that this will end in a marriage - my husband is muslim and in muslimic societies a realtionship doesn't exist, just marriage is the right thing. as i was conservative and familiar with islam, because i have some wonderful muslim friends in austria, this was no problem for me, but for my parents ...

my parents were just reading newspapers and had the opinion, that muslims and arabic persons are dangerous, my husband will hit me and i will not be able to leave the house and i will have 10 children ...

after the first meeting they loved him as it's own son and they had to see muslim and muslim is a difference, like catholic and catholic is a difference - some go to church everyday and others are just catholics on paper ...

it was not easy for my father to give me to a muslim man, but now i am happily married - alhamdulillah!!
